I took some time late last week to update the MAV Lab tutorial. The previous video was a bit outdated with regards to the UI. The new video is captured within the IA interface, so you should have a better idea of what is where, and quickly goes through items such as:

- MAV Lab interface
- Loading and saving MAVs
- Adjusting the MAV chasis to different types
- Custom configuring the MAV with skins, decals and custom colors
- Adding more armor
- Adding and removing weapons and equipment to balance your battlepoints.

Very nice! I think that will help out the new players a lot. The only problem is, how will the new players find that video if they don't use the forums?

Besides that, the tutorial was very well done!

Great initative, logancdn! I just want to add, if anyone should have any questions about the lab, feel free to ask. Here, on IRC, or even in game. There are always people ready to help out newcomers.

Unfortunately that is something IA would have to handle. But I would imagine that since they are now able to deliver advertising video before the game plays that the potential should be there to push a short demo video as well.

Maybe the video could play while the the game is downloading. Since the download takes a while (on my computer anyway), it would be a perfect time to play the movie for new users.
