We all know the Laser Rifle has ammo, now. However, we have no clue what type of clip it is and how it reloads. Obviously, the chaingun simply just seems to have a barrel of ammo which it can refill through ammo stations. Rockets and grenades are kept in the ammo bin, which I'm assuming is somehow connected to the weapon, hence the automation in reloading.

But what type of clip does the Laser Rifle have? I can of course make up some crazy excuse in my own mind, but anything I could think of would be bending the rules way too much. Is it battery powered? I don't think you can fully reload a battery the exact moment it comes near an ammo station (which would have a very convenient recharge slot), no matter how futuristic the technology is. Does it have energy bars of uber radioactivity? Doubtful, considering nothing falls out of the laser rifle in nor first or third person. And obviousely, it does not fully get it's energy from your jets, otherwise you would either not be able to jet, or the charge would be back (and it would have unlimited ammo). Nor can it be solar powered for it would have unlimited ammo, then, too

...so what specifically IS the Laser Rifle's ammo? or is it just powered by an invisible genie that was somehow trapped into slavery and jammed into a laser rifle? or is it a CONSPIRACY!?

again, nothing comes out of the laser rifle, so you can't replace something that doesn't come out

The laser rifle doesn't have ammo. It just uses up energy to shoot. The reason the shots are limited is because GarageGames (or, as you refer to them, supreme rulers of Legions) decided to be pricks about it, and there is really no other explanation.

A fresh LR can only support so many shots because its capacitor takes alot of pressure from shooting a high-energy lazor in a split second. Likewise, it can only support X shots before it needs to be replaced at a common ammo station.

It's a battery, what else? It's weak on it's own though and needs to siphon your energy to boost its power. When the battery is dead, the gun is dead.

It is powered by the(reserve)heat and/or energy of your repulsers(Jets),and therefore should give you infinete ammo.The energy goes to a batterie-like device in the gun,then is focused and then shot out at unimaginable velocites.
Or,it is powered by a energy cartridge with 10-20 bullets in them ,and should not take away your flight/jump energy.The way it fires works like the tribes laser/sniper rifle,the bullet is carried by the laser(carrier beam).It is loaded through one of the side pannels.
And if a there is a 50 cal. armor piercing round coming toward you,and not to mention the fact that a burning hot laser is carrying it,with no exception its going to go through you.Heat and a pointy object coming at you at supersonic speeds will leave you severly injured,probaly dead,resulting in spontaneous combustion.Ow.

The gun combines two different energy types for maximum effect. The ammo is limited because the power needed to activate and run the laser is more than your jets can handle. It needs an internal source to sustain it; synergy/symbioses requires two partners not one.
The technology is what it is.

Heh. Spontaneous combustion is defined as the body igniting from rapid oxidation of it's own constituents without heat from any external source. There's a few other definitions but they all include that it's not caused by any external heat source.

People are thinking into the clip concept a little too much. Just because the largest majority of weapons have clips does not mean every weapon does. The numbers could signify charges or uses, based on the energy reserves you have, or even how many times you can funnel energy from your pack through the battery and out the barrel before the battery is burned out. There are many possibilities, just use your imagination.

Well TheRizzle,The bullet penetrates armor/skin,goes inside but rips muscle and bone so fast you explode,or maybe is goes through the jetpack as well,fuel enters wound and puddles up in armor,heat sets it ablaze and then it explodes,leaving you in parts and pieces or ashes.Theres a messy death for ya.

Agreed on the messy death part, that's still not spontaneous combustion though. 
That's assuming the fuel is a liquid. It could be some sort of pressurized mist also.

I figure the bullets are the lasing elements used in the rifle.

Sort of like the frozen lasing elements from the movie Real Genius.  Every time you fire the laser one element is destroyed because of the high levels of power that it focuses during the shot.  Then you just replace that element with another one from the clip and shoot again.  You have unlimited power because you are just tapping the energy from the armor.  Reloading involves picking up a new set of lasing elements so you can shoot some more.
