Technologically, there's no reason why a Mac can't run games. There's very little if any difference between the hardware on a Mac and a PC these days, especially with Mac using intel inside XD

I think it comes down to user base. Take that whole pie of potential game running hardware of which even Windows PCs are dwarfed by consoles. Look at the Mac slice of the pie and it's very small now look at the Mac user base that would even want to play games and it's smaller still. Crumbs even.

Wakka wakka

I'll explain Blizzard by using these two analogies. It's like saying there are people in the capital city of a large foreign country that speak your language, but as soon as you set foot outside the capital nobody has a *dancing* clue what you are saying. Or a musician being able to claim they are 'big in Japan'.

So it's possible to be 'big in Japan', no-one else gives a *dance*.

Windows is simply a terrible operating system. My best friend bought a 2000$ gaming computer and my mac can still turn on faster and run programs smoother and faster than him who has double the ram on his comp. I will be buying a gaming computer but the fact remains that a mac, even with it's user base being retards, just simply runs much smoother and has far fewer bothersome problems like windows firewall needing to update and restart the computer nearly everyday.

Yes I know what I'm talking about, I regularly use bootcamp to play steam games like Team Fortress.

Scoria, your criteria for judging operating system performance is innovative and unique.

Scoria's step to judging operating system performace:

1. Compare <MAC/PC> to friend's $2000 <MAC/PC>.

WOW! AMAZING! I'm going to patent that *chocolate cookie*, make a website, and all that *chocolate cookie*. You watch. THANKS FOR THIS INFOS! IM STEALING YOUR IDEA BY THE WAY! HAHAHAHA!!!!!

Yes well we can play your game then. *Note this is not how I actually think about OS's*

At least MS doesn't create OS's that delete your settings just by clicking log in so I guess if I keep pointing out bugs that Mac has, and ignore the windows ones then mac < windows.  Oh and comparing systems by price isn't really that great since you can easily buy a $2000 computer and then the next day buy a $2000 computer somewhere else that is at least 2x better.

After all a fresh install of Windows (on an old PC) can load up a lot quicker than an old install on a PC.

It does not matter what OS is used if the user is careless and ignorant, which is the case in the majority of computer owners.

Someone not in that category chose their OS and has it in a stable condition with comparable performance to every other OS.

Sorry I pushed the subject. I believe the original poster's question has been answered so let's not turn this into a windows versus OSX debate, I believe other forums are more suited for that.
