What if we had the water gun do damage ,and a mud gun which would slow them down since it does not make since that water would slow someone down.

Legions has rocket launchers, jet packs, laser rifles, etc... Water and mud guns are sort of steampunk and therefore don't quite fit in with the Legions motif...

NO i disagree it fits in perfectly because it would be like Lightnings weapon from FF 13 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_XIII) it would soothe the need for a meele weapon and a gun, Eh? (lol)

I'm going to have to agree that I don't feel this fits in.  It's an interesting idea, but I don't think it fits in Legions.  High pressure water cannons are already used in real life to deter rioters.  Yes, high pressure water could be used as a lethal weapon.    However, there are several problems with using water as a lethal weapon that have to do with practical concerns.

1) First and foremost, water takes up a lot of room and would probably require a lot more room than ammunition such as bullets.  This is OK when you have a vehicle like an armored personnel carrier, but it's definitely more of an issue when you're trying to fly somewhere with a jetpack.

2)  If you're going to use all that room to hold liquids, why not use some fluid that is more destructive, i.e. flammable liquids, violently reactive chemicals, or strong acid?   Water seems way too benign.

3)  Since water is a fluid, a lot of the energy upon impact might be wasted as the water changes the volume it is conforming to.

4)  Water would probably freeze on the winter maps like Frostbyte and Nivosus unless it was in a well insulated container.

5)  I know that high pressure water can be used to cut steel and other hard substances, but this is definitely more of a precision industrial and manufacturing use than it is a military one.

P.S. Just as a side note, I do know of at least one game that uses a stream of water as a weapon somewhat similar to what the OP had mentioned.  The Quake 3 mod World of Padman has a weapon called the Boaster that shoots out a stream of water which damages opponents and makes the floor slippery.

What does FF13 have to do with ANYTHING? They have spells in World of Warcraft, we should add those too. Oh, they had money and you could solicit prostitutes in Grand Theft Auto. We should add that too.

I like the ELF better than the water gun, which sadly doesn't fit in. Water guns are used to break up riots and such. The object of legions is not to break up a riot, its to kill an opponent who is zooming around. Being able to suck people out of the sky is a far more appealing idea than discouraging them. On a related note to the ELF, gravity/time mines might be more fun and user-friendly.

While your original idea did state that this would hurt, the majority of posters on this thread are talking about  something else entirely. I replied to the majority opinion, which was being discussed prior to my post. As for the Noobish, it was for the benefit of those who can't speak "1337 EnGLishz" as they call it, and was not intended as an insult.

i think it should be were it spreads as it gets farther so it wont be an o snipe pestering weapon and it should just do a little damage farther away less damage but it pushes them so if a capper is flying up if u have a good shot u can slow them down or u can push cappers into walls and they will crater u can also give ur cappers a boost in speed or shot them in air if they are capping and are gonna land short
