Risen;
You have taken the first step in helping to keep new players here on AoA. We won't be able to keep everyone, but we can show that we are a player friendly site in learning the game of "Ace of Aces" This will go a long way in player appreciation for the game, but it will take time. It is time that the Community shows, that we are able and willing to work as a Community.
I believe this will help with some of the negativity about the updates that we all would like to see happen in the near Future. .. {more sooner than Later} .. This is why I went to Chi-Ro with the Idea of this new site on the Forums. Furthermore, I asked that he run the Idea past Dr. Wiley and asked for support from the powers at hand. IMO, it's like going back to the basic's when "Ace of Aces" first went on line. Everybody helped, everybody. And squads were formed and this is where we are at now, in the Evolution of the Game.

Dr.Wiley loves the idea, I forgot you had asked me about him. I'm not sure if there is anything the admins could do to help you here but if you think of something I'll be sure to run it by him.
As far as your point about when AoA first came out and everyone helped everyone. I don't think some of the newer players even know what it was like back then. What you said is exactly true. When AoA launched there was no fighting, just about everyone got along, and everyone really really enjoyed the game. Even a bad or not updated game can be thoroughly enjoyed while playing with friends. When the squadrons came along they were just another way to play with friends, and stayed that way for awhile. But now unfortunately that has changed.
Anyway, LD has taken the first step to fixing that and thankfully people are following his lead.
