I was thinking that the IA group could revamp the default rets.
First of all, they are slightly off-center to the bottom right. This can hinder some players who MA (midair. What i am suggesting is that we modify the beta rets to become more accurate

Second, the visibility could become better. When users plays on snow maps, the rets become invisible. I was thinking that they could have a different, stark color recticles.(one that contrasts with the background) These colors could black and white,etc. This would save the time of swapping different recticles.

In the Mods subforum you'll find a plethora of reticles and complete huds.

In almost every game with a reticle - I end up swapping the standard reticles for something else.

i agree. we could use black rets. perhaps you could make em look cooler than normal rets like have a kind of rustic look.

But your reason for switching should be style, not practicality. A default ret should be just as practical as any you could make.

Rets should be black with white outline (or vise versa) because if you change it to just black you just shift the problem of invisible rets to quarry and core. Black and white you will be able to see the rets on any map. This or the ability to change ret colors whenever you want in the in game menu.

I understand that people love to mod games and all that jazz, but a game and it's design should be done well from the get-go.  Some people have no desire to mod their gamefiles and would just like a good game experience out of the box.

Personally, I'd rather have a very solid package without mods than a game stuck together with scotch tape and bobby pins.
