Hi, I was just curious. Will Playtribes have support for widescreen resolutions? I know it is an old game, but it would be awesome if we could play it on widescreen monitors without having everything stretched or our FOV reduced.

   I played the original Tribes about a year ago, and noticed that the game supported a resolution of 1440x900 (my monitor's native resolution).  So I'm thinking it's a 'yes' on this question.

I'm pretty sure that the original game did not have native wide-screen support but I know that it is possible with an third-party patch/hack.

    Ah, that's probably why I had widescreen support then.  I had just downloaded the fully patched, feature complete Vista supported one.  It'd be nice if IA did include that option built in, but if not, hopefully someone will be able to mod the option in.

Tribes supported 1440x900 if I'm not mistaken, but 1680x1050 is a no go.
Let us hope they add full resolution support...

Yeah that was the patch I was referring to. I wonder if they will incorporate that in to playtribes

Widescreen is supported in 1.40, I think I dont give any secret out here
