Here's my suggestion for a new game mode, a checkpoint race:

CHECKPOINT RACE:

Overview:  Two teams have their own flags.  The objective is to pass through more checkpoint gates faster than the other team while carrying the team's flag.

How it works:  Two teams will start close to each other on a map.  Their flags (EDIT:  The flags they will pick up) will be on a stand to begin with so that the flag does not get knocked around while trying to start the game.  Both teams must pass through the same checkpoints placed around the map, which use the PlayLegions.com checkpoint gates.  However, unlike the PlayLegions.com checkpoints, you must pass through the gates strictly in sequence for them to advance the checkpoint. The teams must defend their flag carrier and also attempt to slow down or kill the enemy flag carrier and prevent her/him from going through checkpoints.

Downed flags behave normally, except for a noteworthy few exceptions:

1)  The flag has no timeout counter to return to the stand.
2) If one team touches an opposing team's flag, it is not returned, but instead it will turn semi transparent and cannot be picked up by the opposing team for five seconds.  (Time subject to change if necessary)

Thus, the central idea is that the flag is always in play in this game mode.

Respawning also works somewhat differently than other game modes.  When you die, you will respawn within the vicinity of the previous check point your team's flag carrier passed through.

Some people may think this sort of game mode is not necessary when we will have game modes like Team Rabbit.  I haven't played a lot a team rabbit, but, consider the following points about some advantages this game mode offers:
Chasers can cut corners in between checkpoints to catch up to the enemy flag carrier since they don't need to pass through the gates.  However, the flag carrier does not have this luxury and most pass through the gates to be useful.  This especially helps if you play slower classes with powerful weapons, as you might find it difficult in Rabbit to keep up with a faster class that was attempting to go as fast as possible and evade as many chasers as he/she can.  Next, without passing through checkpoints in order, the flag carrier cannot score.  This leads to gameplay opportunities by the opposing team to disrupt the flag carrier at the gates and forces some players to defend against this disruption.  Thus there are plenty of opportunities for people in this game mode, whether they like carrying the flag, playing disruption, chasing, or defending.

Not bad but i doubt they will include it into any version of legions. Might be a good community developed mod idea.

Armageddon – Looks like a skinhead, dresses like a skinhead, talks like a skinhead, smells like a skinhead. Is not a skinhead. Is however, morally corrupt and willing to kill for cash.

Maybe it's a stretch, but I think it would also be nice for players to create their own courses by placing checkpoints in different places, or at the very least having several courses to choose on a given map a la PlayLegions.

Yes please! Legions is so amazing because it's an FPS of it's own class. If you want to play a racing game, go play MarioKart or something.
