Hey everyone, it's getting time to have Europe public games. Zhou tried to organize a pub/scrim/mix however you wanna call it. The Europe pub got canceled due to lack of interest. You can find the thread of Zhou here:

Now some time past by and I got some response from players, who would like to have a Europe pub. Every time when I host a game it's getting full so why not having a fix date to play with good players?

Who?
Whoever wanna play with good players. Players who leave during the game or do some lame stuff are going to be excluded, when they don't have a good excuse for that.

Who is going to host?
Someone who has a good connection. 

Schedule of the European pub:
1. Join the IRC channel #legions.pub and get on the Ventrilo channel Legions 15 minutes before the pub starts.
 
2. The both team captains pick the teams. Make sure they are balanced to get an interesting game.
 
3. When you got picked by one of the captains switch to the red or blue team channel on Ventrilo and also preselects the team color on the start screen. Now every player discuss the position with his team captain.

4. The host is going to start the game. Once we are all in the game we check, if everyone picked the right team. Nobody is allowed to score the flag.
 
5. The teams are ready to go. As soon as the host gives the respawn signal all players are going to respawn and thus the game is opened. Have fun!
 
6. After the game we decide, if we wanna play another one.

We need more people in the channel. Plz add the #legions.pub channel to auto join in IRC. We can also use the channel to organize offhanded pubs.

can you tell me what time that is in EST I live on east coast so I would get around 120 ping to eu wich is very playable(I get worst ping from west coast servers)

I added the GMT and a time converter to the post.

12 players participated at the first official European pub. We played totally three games 6vs6 with a score limit of 10 on the snow map. I enjoyed all three games.

I really enjoyed the last one and I will be attending the next one.

There was some good players taking part, makes a big difference than playing on public servers

I haven't attended any of these scrims but even meatsplitter's regular pubs seem to always have good players.

I also participated and enjoyed those games. I played only 2 games one on each side. Blue side was victorious, those games ended 10-4 and 10-3 for blue team
I dont know how that 3rd game ended. I made some ld notes of those 2 games thought...

I played as a chaser which I usually do. Chasing a capper was again useless against good cappers, map is too small for that. So you had to kill the capper before he gets the flag because after that you have max 5 sec time to kill him. llama/regarbbing the flag was the best way to defend.

I would really like to have more options for flag defending. Spamming a flag with nadelauncher was a only way now. Rocket launcher were too slow and chaingun/overheat ruined most of my 5 sec chasing attempts. Maps should be bigger or weapons a bit more effective so that there would be a balance. Now there were way too many standoffs for my taste (too easy to cap or grab & hide). Better indicators could help in this.

Dont say it to loud. The game isnt overpowered for offense!!! It isnt tribes you know, the chaingun si fine as it is. No need to nerf it, the main aspect of it is to be not too powerful in close range.
Mine disc isnt an option, because u can easily bb the uber manouverable cappers, even if they use od.
spamming is a solid tactic which requires real skill, no need for anything else.

ah and i forgot! you suck at the game and didnt play it enough to actually judge anything!

Nope that is just you. Showed up to that pickup too hoping you'd be there so I could put you in your place, but it figures you'd rather run your mouth than prove it with your skill.
