The greatest thing about the old school MP FPS games was the people. New-school gamers don't get that. Really, I should say, a lot of mainstream gamers don't get that. We have an opportunity now to make a game *together* that can be whatever we want it to be. The true lifeblood of this game isn't 1337 "graphics" or flawless execution of some tried and tested and shamelessly over*dance*ed gameplay mechanic. If this game succeeds, it'll be because there's people who just want to play to enjoy the experience of being a part of a living and growing thing while shooting at each other and coming out of the flurry of bullets and explosions with a smile on their face. THAT is what Quake was to me, that's what Tribes was to me, and that's what I want this to be.
When you guys say things like this, it makes me warm and fuzzy. The interviews out there come off as so unconventional, and that's great, cause I'm tired of the conventional *chocolate cow pie* all these other companies have been forcing down our throats over the years at 50-60 bucks a box.
I will always be a Tribes fanboy, but it was the spirit, rewarding gameplay, and evolving community that made me a Tribes fan in the first place. You guys are forging ahead on something new and cool, and it has me far more captivated than the rest of the 30 million dollar "blockbusters" out there. I'm in for the long haul
