Doubtful.  Legions already has a pretty big player-base.  It'll undoubtedly be popular, but Legions will still be the number one game at IA.

They're creating a new Master Server for PT, but it won't be compatible with the current version of Tribes.  It will indeed be version 1.40, but it'll be called PlayTribes.

I don't know if I like that or not lol.. I host a few of my own servers. what will my servers have effect on "Play Tribes"

I was a fanatic of this game. Does it support MAC? I went to the playtribes website and when i clicked it brought me here. PC only then?

It will be PC only, like Fixious already said. But you should be able to run it through Wine or Bootcamp. The reason why the site takes you here though, is that it's not launched yet. Wink

Im sure that if people like those games, people will continue playing them, what will more likely happen is more players will discover the tribes series,
I didn't know about tribes until I learned about it from Instant action, downloaded both games and played them.
Im sure others will be the same way, and anyone else will just enjoy the nostalgia

Plus, the current version of Tribes will still have a fair number of players merely for the support of mods.  PT won't support most mods, at least not right away.  Even then I doubt this will kill Tribes 1's current player base.  I have a strong feeling it won't run perfectly on this computer, and if so, I'll keep playing the old Tribes.

A few questions

Would the item limit be changed so more custom items can be made?

Would the inventory be changed so if you receive more than 700 items at once it doesn't mess up the inventory with things like -431 of ammo?

Is there a way for servers to change simulation time dynamically by server (Currently you have to tell clients to type in $SimGame::TimeScale = 2; or other a remote function to dynamically set it).

Is there a way to dynamically change the map's gravity, or gravity on a specific item?

Also a Gamebase::getLOS would be good if you could specify pos and rotation instead of using just an object.

also...why did the playtribes.com picture change and why is there no forums link?is this a sign its close to the end?
