Will players playing with the standalone game be able to play with others who are using the playtribes.com website?

I noticed the earthsiege.com and starsiege.com domains shifted over to GG four months ago. Does this mean GarageGames is the owner of every game in the Earthsiege universe?

PlayTribes supports standalone play. The game auto-installs, much like every other IA game. However, the option exists to kill your browser, goto the download directory, and launch the game as you would 1.11. In otherwords, the standalone game IS the web-install, just launched differently. So yes, it maintains compatibility with the web-install. Servers don't care if you're using standalone or web-install.

I'm starting to hate PAX. it's all about swag for nobodies and no actual game updates, betas, demos... it's a good example how NOT to interest your internet community.

But was it ever exclusively for game updates and actual content/reveals?  It's my understanding it was more about gaming culture, rather than content.  If that's what you want, stick to the E3's, GDC's and TGS'.  A lot of the stuff that went down this year was about the industry itself, such as journalism, virals, creating a good game, ect.  Just look at the schedule.

Yeah. It also doesn't help that they're completely ignoring the only community that might actually give a *chocolate cookie* about iaTribes.

I kept an eye out for any stories about iaTribes/PlayTribes/Tribes 1.40, whatever you wanna call it during and after PAX.  I saw just one story about it, which was apparently a hands-on impression that really didn't say...anything.  Hell Flipt! seems to be getting more attention than PlayTribes. 

Twitter was probably my biggest source(oh hush, it's useful).  A lot, and I mean A LOT of PAX attendees were using it, so I thought it'd be a great way to see people talk about it.  Looking at it again, a whopping 2 people have mentioned it other than me, IA and FishStix.

I wonder just how many people actually knew about it at PAX.

 

Will this game be restricted to certain ages, such for the blood?

P.S:  I hope i'm not giving you any ideas, im a ten yr old gamer.

Edit: My mum allows me to play this and Tribes, i have it so i guess it doesnt really matter but...

ESRB rating T, for animated violence. There's no blood in Tribes. But note, the IA TOS require you to be at least 13 years old to use any of their services anyways.

It's almost always 13 years old for those kind of agreements.

And by the way im only allowed to play this and tribes; the games with no blood.
